Who Is Dr.Stephen Lee?

In addition to being a qualified physician associate, Dr. Stephen Lee is also a Doctor of behavioral health. He has instructed behavioral medicine at various graduate institutions, including Bay Path University, Springfield College,  Quinnipiac University, Westfield State University, and Cummings Graduate Institute for Behavioral Health Studies. He has over 25 years of medical experience, including over a decade as an Army Battalion Medical Officer for a mountain infantry unit and a Navy Corpsman.

He also served as the lead practitioner at Synergistic Health Services, a behavioral health center in Wethersfield, Connecticut, that offers medication management services and psychotherapy. In addition, he was the key consultant for Hartford Healthcare, which introduced behavioral health in two large urgent care practices.

In 2018, He represented the United States in finding an innovative model for treating addiction which was presented at a summit for the International Federation of Green Crescents, a group of 52 non-profit countries that work together to help people with addictions. Green Crescent USA is a non-profit organization that supports, sponsors, designs, and administers programs throughout the United States that support effective treatment methods for persons who struggle with addiction and other associated behavioral health conditions.

  • Patient education on their disease and how to properly manage it through treatment which can be done in person or thru virtual visits in DOCSNow.
  • Counseling groups, individuals, couples,  families, and organizations on behavioral issues, such as stress management, substance abuse, communication skills, child abuse prevention, parenting skills, self-esteem enhancement, anger management, etc.
  • Interpreting and proposing follow-up treatment based on the results of medical examinations.
